Gulls Level the Pell Bridge Series

The Newport Gulls cruised to a 9–3 victory over the Ocean State Waves as Will Taylor (Trinity) got the start and set the tone with a steady outing, and Bryce Koch (Louisville) followed with a strong relief appearance to shut down the middle innings. Jake Kennedy (Oklahoma St) came in to shut the door and hold on as the Gulls have now won 5 straight!

Tristan Salinas (Rutgers) was the offensive catalyst, delivering a huge night capped by a three-run homer that broke the game open and ignited a balanced attack that produced multiple extra-base hits and timely RBI throughout the lineup. Newport’s pitching limited Ocean State to just three runs, the defense was solid behind the staff, and the win keeps the Gulls rolling as they look to carry this momentum into their next matchup.
