Mikey Basile - Director of Media Operations
An extremely skilled media professional, Mike Basile enters his fourth season as the Gulls Director of Media & Broadcast. Basile’s career has taken him all over the country after graduating from York College of Pennsylvania with a degree in Mass and Visual Communication. He has served in similar positions for Hockey programs in Minnesota, Philadelphia, and Delaware, also taking on roles as Director of Hockey Operations for the Delaware Thunder. His experience in leadership roles is bolstered by an ability to conduct Play by Play / Color Commentary for many different sports. In addition to the Newport Gulls, Basile is employed by prestigious Division I colleges and universities as on-air talent including but not limited to; Harvard University, The College of the Holy Cross, UMass Lowell, Boston College, Bentley University and University of New Hampshire. Having worked with ESPN prior to joining the Newport Gulls, Basile was able to make the Gulls and NECBL transition to streaming on the ESPN network of services seamless and successful. An avid reader and food connoisseur, Basile can be found enjoying an Islanders game or going on a hike when he is not calling a game or leading the Gulls Media Department.
Harry Tidgewell - Play-by-Play Broadcaster
Harry Tidgewell is a rising sophomore studying Journalism at Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. A lifelong baseball player from the Albany, NY area, he started calling games for the PGCBL's Amsterdam Mohawks and is excited to build upon that experience with the Gulls. Harry covers Syracuse sports for the NewsHouse and is involved with multiple broadcasting organizations on campus, including CitrusTV, ACCN and several radio stations. He can't wait to watch some great summer baseball and bring it live to Gulls fans.
Adelina Aubin - Media Operations/Broadcast
Adelina Aubin is a rising sophomore at Bryant University majoring in Sports Industries, Media, and Promotion. She is from Wrentham, Massachusetts, and has spent the past year and part of high school gaining skills in sports broadcasting operations and media working for the Northeast Generals Hockey team and also URI Dance Team as their team social media manager. She is excited to bring her skills to the Newport Gulls and contribute to the 2026 season. In her free time, Adelina enjoys her time attending football games, going to the beach, and spending time outdoors.
Sorcha Lewis - Director
Hi, my name is Sorcha Lewis. I am a rising senior at Xavier University. I am from Alexandria, VA, right outside of Washington, DC. I will be working as a production intern this summer. I have spent past summers working with different collegiate baseball teams learning the production aspect of the game. I love to watch movies and sports in my free time. I support all Washington DC sports teams.
Olivia DeMacedo - Media Operations
Olivia DeMacedo is a rising junior at Emmanuel College double majoring in Marketing and Communication & Media Studies. Along with playing for the Emmanuel Softball team, Olivia also works as a Game-Day Operations staff member. She is eager to bring her creativity to the Newport Gulls this summer. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watercolor, and going to Red Sox games.
Ty Skorski - Media Operations
Tyler Skorski is a rising senior at Clemson University pursuing a B.A. in Sports Communication and a B.S. in Marketing. He is from Cranston, RI, and is entering his second season with the Newport Gulls. After working as an Assistant Operations Coordinator for the 2025 season, Tyler has shifted to the media department as a Social Media and Marketing intern. He is excited to continue bringing his skills to the Newport Gulls organization and contribute to another successful season in Newport.
Joe Dupuis - Graphics Operator
Joe Dupuis is a Communications Major entering his senior year at Rhode Island College. Coming from Cumberland, Rhode Island, Joe was an intern last year for the Newport Gulls, which made him become a fan of the team for life. At Rhode Island College, Joe achieved being on the Dean's List three semesters in a row, as well as joining the Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honors Society. He hopes to contribute even more to the team this year than what he did last year. During his free time, Joe is a creator, be it videos that give him practice in broadcasting, or creating stories and memories with his friends in D&D campaigns and co-op video games.
Carter Holubesko - Broadcast Operations
Carter Holubesko is a sophomore at Hofstra University majoring in Sport Media from Middletown, Rhode Island. In the past, Carter’s family has hosted Gulls players for several years, and Carter has fond memories of being in the dugout as a bat boy. During high school he was a three-sport athlete and realized that he wanted to cover sports as a career. Carter wants to use his experience with athletics coupled with his strength in storytelling to inform and engage sports fans. While in high school, he worked for WADK Radio by working in the studio to help produce live local baseball and softball games. Carter is excited for the opportunity to gain a variety of hands-on experiences as part of the Newport Gulls Media Team.
Matt Benestad - Broadcast Operations
Matthew Benestad is a rising junior at Fairfield University, majoring in Sports Media. Growing up in Central Massachusetts and moving down to Aquidneck Island in 2024, I knew I wanted to work for the Newport Gulls to start my career in sports. After a successful season last year, I knew I wanted to come back to work for the Gulls media team and try to get another championship to Cardines. Matthew enjoys rowing, running, and talking about anything sports-related.
Matt Clements - Broadcast Operations
Matt Clements is a rising sophomore at the University of Rhode Island majoring in Sports Media and Communications. He is from Johnston, Rhode Island, and started his media career at Johnston High School. He spent his freshman year at URI, learning the ins and outs of broadcasting, and other facets of sports media. He is excited to return to the Gulls media crew for his second season, and is ready for another great summer. In his free time, Matt enjoys working out, spending time with friends, and watching sports.

Michael Kiselka is a rising sophomore at Endicott College studying for a B.S. in Photography. He is originally from Bristol, Rhode Island, and has spent the past few years gaining experience in covering major sporting events. Hes is excited to bring his skills to the Newport Gulls and contribute to a successful 2026 season
Veronica Borrelli- Sideline Reporter
Veronica returns for another season with the Newport Gulls adding media to her experience as well. She will serve as the teams sideline report, and you can catch her on the pre-game show as well.
