NEWPORT R.I. - Our next round of signings feature Freshman left-handed pitcher Mason Christopher from Seton Hall University, Sophomore right-handed pitcher Mickey McClaskey from Gonzaga Univeristy, and Freshman left-handed pitcher Will Coleman from the University of Kentucky. The 2026 Player Signings are brought to you by GOING YARD BASEBALL!
Mason Christopher appeared in 13 games for the Seton Hall Pirates during his freshman season where he struck out 25 batters and only walked 14. Christopher’s best game was against Iona on March 23, 2025 where he struck out a season high six batters. Before coming to Seton Hall, Christopher played on the Middletown South High School team and was ranked the fifth best left handed pitcher in New Jersey.
Mickey McClaskey is a pitcher for the Gonzaga Bulldogs baseball program, bringing size and upside to the Bulldogs’ pitching staff. A native of Lake Oswego, Oregon, McClaskey developed at Jesuit High School in Oregon, where he built a foundation that prepared him for Division I competition, where he ultimately chose Gonzaga. Pitching in 2 appearances last season, closing out the final 2 innings of the year, McClasky has brought his game up for his sophomore season and is heading into his junior year. Early in his collegiate career, McClaskey has been used primarily in relief appearances, gaining valuable experience early on.As he continues to adjust to the college level, McClaskey is focused on improving his command and consistency. With his size, McClaskey remains a young arm to watch as he progresses within Gonzaga’s pitching staff.
Before committing to play baseball as a Kentucky Wildcat, Will Coleman was ranked No. 36 left handed pitcher and the number 7 pitcher in his home state of Indiana, playing for Curt Welch at Castle High School. Coleman racked up many Conference and State awards in his high school playing days and hope to attain that same success with his timewearing Kentucky blue. Coleman did not appear much throughout his Freshman year as a Wildcat. Coleman has a brother Nick who played junior college baseball, so baseball runs in the family.
