NEWPORT, R.I. - The Newport Gulls are proud to announce the 2026 7th Hall of Fame Induction Class, who will be inducted during a special ceremony on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Historic Cardines Field. The ceremony will celebrate the outstanding contributions and lasting impact of former players and contributors who helped shape the tradition and success of Newport Gulls Baseball.
The 2026 Newport Hall of Fame Class includes:
- Troy Dixon (2016)
- Ben Roberts (2013–2014)
- Dan Mahoney (2009)
- Mike Tamsin (2008)
- Adam Wilk (2007)
- Chase Reid (2008)
- Yale Rosen (2012)
In addition, longtime Head Trainer and Physical Therapist, Norm Provost, the Newport Gulls first Head Coach, Carmen Carcone and former Mayor, Richard Sardella will also be honored and inducted for their dedication and service to Newport Gulls baseball , helping preserve the rich history and tradition of the game in the City by the Sea.
"This year's class represents an outstanding group of players and contributors who have left a lasting legacy with the Newport Gulls and the Newport baseball community," said the Newport Gulls organization. "We are honored to recognize their achievements and celebrate their impact on July 18th at Cardines Field." said Gulls General Manger, Chuck Paiva.
The induction ceremony will take place on July 18th at Cardines Field, with fans, alumni, and members of the community invited to attend and celebrate this special event. The event will highlight the 2026 Newport Gulls 25 Year Anniversary Celebration Weekend as many former Gulls will be returning to The Nest!
Additional details regarding the 25 Year Anniversary Reunion weekend and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Newport Gulls, members of the 13-team New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL), are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded as the Rhode Island Gulls in 1998 in Cranston, R.I., before moving to Newport in 2001.
