Gulls Win with Walk-Off

The Newport Gulls beat the New Bedford Bay Sox in walk off fashion 7-6 Friday night at Cardines Field. It was the last time the Gulls were playing at home in the regular season, and what a sweet victory it was. Newport jumped to an early 5-1 lead, but the Bay Sox fought their way back and tied it 6-6 in the top of the 8th inning.
